Soay SheepTriplets Arrive in Arctic Conditions!
The weather up here on Knock Hill has not been anything like you would expect for spring. We have had a few days of sunshine and then days of sleet, snow and gale-force winds! On some days we have seen “four seasons in one day”. So you can understand why our Soay lambs that are due have been slow to arrive! We are therefore delighted to share the news with you that we were greeted this morning by the beautiful sight of our first set of Soay sheep triplets. They are all doing well and are cosy inside the barn with their mum. This now brings us to a total of 15 lambs and the young people here at Bachlaw have been so excited and thrilled to watch the news and birth of the lambs unfold – names for the triplets to follow soon!
