Bachlaw Intensive support is one service provided from 2 sites. We have 1 house ‘Upper Seaview’ which is situated in 48 acres of farmland, fields and woodland near Cornhill in Aberdeenshire where we can offer up to 5 long term placements. The environment lends itself to a range of outdoor opportunities for play, horse riding, animal husbandry and land management.
We also have our own creel boat ‘Venture West’ which is commercially coded and risk assessed for use with young people.
Milden is our house in the small fishing town of Banff. This setting offers children and young people opportunities for increased independence and access to community groups and resources. There are 5 long term placements in Milden.
We believe that preparing young people to be able to manage within a real work environment is as important as any academic qualifications they main attain. We have well established links within the local community and have successfully supported young people to access work placements in a range of different sectors including the building trade, early learning and childcare, hospitality and retail as well as providing direct opportunities in land management, animal care and fishing.
